Brief introduction of Akita dog
Akita dog (confirm introduction)

The Akita dog originated in the 17th century and was named after its place of origin, Akita Prefecture. They are calm, confident, gentle, easy to train, loyal to their owners and families, and have a very calm character. In Japan, they were used as fire alarm dogs. Now they have become very popular family dogs all over the world. They have always been in Japan. Popular as the most gifted dog breed!

The original Japanese dog was a small to medium-sized dog, not a huge breed. In the Akita region since 1603, Akita dogs (medium-sized bear hounds) have been used as fighting dogs. Beginning in 1868, Akitas were bred with Japanese fighting dogs and Mastiffs, eventually reducing the size of the dogs but losing the characteristics of the Spitz. In 1908, dog fighting was banned, but the breed was maintained and improved into a large Japanese breed dog. Finally, in 1931, nine high-end examples of this species were designated as "natural monuments."

In 1931, it was officially recognized as Japan’s national precious animal, so the dog was widely welcomed in Japan.
